The Fireworks Booth is up, the container is full and our booth passed the fire inspection with flying colors in record time (According to the Fire Inspector).  With our biggest fundraiser set to begin tomorrow in arguably the busiest location in town, we’re looking forward to a great turnout that will benefit our league. Though as of today, we still need some help with open shifts and are looking for volunteers to fill some of the openings.

PGSL FIREWORKS BOOTH SCHEDULE & SIGNUPS

If you have already volunteered your time, thank you for taking the time to help!  We all have many things going on so please know that your help as volunteers is greatly appreciated as it will have a positive impact on our program and what we are able to provide for our girls!

I wanted to reach out to our PGSL Community and ask for any and all volunteers that may not have had an opportunity to sign up for a time yet to help us out this week.  Any and all help is greatly appreciated.  I know many have either just come home from vacation or have busy schedules so I am reaching out to let you know where we stand.  As a Non-Profit Organization, we rely on fundraisers like the Fireworks Booth to be able to offer many items and initiatives that benefit our program, which includes both things you can see on the field like equipment, Umpires, Uniforms, trophies/medals but this also includes some things that you may not be aware of.

Two items in particular that you by now have heard me speak about but greatly impressed me upon my coming into this league initially as a parent that I am extremely proud of are:

  • The PGSL End of the Season Picnic.  This event has been fully sponsored by the League for years as a way to thank and reward our girls for a fun and successful season while bringing our Community together as one to celebrate our girls’ accomplishments.

  • In its history, the PGSL HAS NEVER TURNED A PLAYER OR FAMILY AWAY BECAUSE OF NEED OR HARDSHIP.  Our mission statement is that of establishing a positive environment for girls to learn new skills both on and off the field.

We are responsible for and are tasked with maintaining our fields.  While we do a good job, we always want to do better to benefit the girls on the field.  Important programs like these are possible in part due to fundraising efforts like the Fireworks Booth that are filled with parent and friendly volunteers.

ALL of the proceeds the PGSL receives from Firework Sales goes right back into all of these programs, clinics, and initiatives in order to benefit our girls and to continue to grow our community in so many positive ways.

Please take a moment to click on the link to the schedule and take a look and see if you have time to help us out this 4th of July Season!
