Frequently Asked Questions
The Pacifica Girls Softball League’s Mission is to provide an opportunity for girls ages 4-14 to play softball in a positive, fair, instructional and safety-oriented environment with an emphasis on the development of qualities such as leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, citizenship and friendship with mindful adherence to the Code of Ethics of USA Softball.
Our Spring season typically runs from January for player evaluations until the season ends with playoffs & championship games and our Annual Picnic in late May/early June.
First, Welcome! We have new families and players who join all the time and your question is not uncommon. Once registered, your daughter will need the following:
- Softball pants (coach will let you know what color)
- Water to stay hydrated
League registration pays for a team jersey, visor, and photos.
We also encourage but don't require, your child to have her own ASA approved helmet and/or bat.
That's awesome! We encourage all parents and friends who have knowledge, skill & a positive attitude to work with our players to volunteer. After completing a background check and USA Softball Certification, you are good to go! Please take a look at the Forms Library for more info!
ABSOLUTELY! In addition to on field volunteers, we are always looking for parents to help with the MANY activities involved with running and promoting PGSL!
Some Examples of Places we can use your help:
- Fireworks Booth Coordinator
- Photo Day Coordinator
- Uniform Coordinator
- Team Parent Coordinator
- End of the Season Picnic Coordinator
